Slow flow yoga
For beginners & all levels

This is a perfect class for a beginner, or someone who wishes to reclaim their flexibility and mindfulness through gentle Hatha Yoga.  In this 60-minute class, you will be guided to experience a variety of poses in classic yogic traditions, and led in breath work and mindfulness. Each class ends with a 10-minute guided meditation for rejuvenation and energy balancing.  This class is designed for all bodies, and can even be joyfully experienced for those with limited mobility while in a chair.


SPIRIT OF YOGA
WITH JENN MINTZ

Join Jenn Mintz Every Thursday at the Lightwell Center for a Yoga Lunch time renewal class. The class, called The Spirit of Yoga, will walk beginner and advanced yoga practitioners through a movement class that honors at ancient eight limbs of yoga. In each class you will experience asana (movement and poses) with breath work, meditative focus, mudras and mantras that will support the unfolding of all aspects of YOU!


Hatha yoga
with sound bathing

This 60-minute class offers yoga poses, breath, movement and mindfulness for all bodies and levels of experience.  This class is slightly more rigorous than Monday’s beginning class, but still an introductory course where a variety of modifications are offered for all poses at various levels of difficulty, perfect to explore your body on your own terms.  This class ends with a 15-minute, sound bathing experience while lying in shavasana (done lying flat on your back to enjoy a sound therapy meditation)


Body & Soul
Chakra Balancing Yoga

A 90-minute class, 60 minutes of which is designed to explore poses, breath work, mudras and mantras to strengthen and balance your energy centers: chakras.  Over the eight weeks, we will explore a different chakra, and learn how each energy center controls various aspects of your life:  from your health, home and job to your love life, creativity, intuitive abilities and more!  In the final week, we finish with an exploration of your SOUL STAR chakra and experience a lengthy guided meditation where .you will meet your Spirit Guide


Yoga Nidra (zoom)

Yoga Nidra is a unique experience which requires no movement from the yogic practitioner.  Rather, in the comfort of your own home, you experience Yoga Nidra while lying down and simply listening to the instructor, move you from an awake and aware state (Beta brain wave) to a deep, restorative relaxation to experience a Delta brain wave, as if asleep, and dreaming.  One hour of Yoga Nidra is the equivalent of 4 hours of REM deep sleep, and is known to improve health, reduce blood pressure, untangle muscles and reduce stress in significant ways.  Yoga Nidra is now being offered in medical centers to support improved wellness for many medical illnesses, including cancer, autoimmune, and nervous system disorders.
